The RE [ENTER] project started

The 2018/2019 sports season, although only a few months ago, is proving to be very rich in initiatives and projects for our Committee, especially in Europe with several projects that see the Committee both as leader and as a leader. partner. Last week, for example, from Monday 26 to Thursday 29 November, the Director Roberto Rinaldi and the International Project Manager Francesca Di Feo went to the Greek capital to discuss the guidelines for the RE [ENTER] project. Just like SPIRITS, which we talked about earlier, RE [ENTER] also involves adults doing voluntary work inside prisons, albeit a little differently. In fact, as regards SPIRITS, our Committee plays the role of leader thanks to the valuable contribution of the Territorial Committee UISP Alessandria, which has been involved in activities in prisons for over 20 years, assisted by 3 other European associations. In RE [ENTER], on the other hand, our Committee assumes the role of partner together with 7 other European companies - two Romanian associations, one Cypriot, one Finnish, one Portuguese, one Spanish and the Greek University of Thessaly - coordinated by the Freedom Gate association Greece that at this juncture carries out the task of leader. During the intense kick-off meeting the different partners analyzed and addressed the various objectives of the project, agreeing on the methods to be implemented in order to achieve them at best. To explain in more detail the different phases of RE [ENTER], which will last two years, is Roberto Rinaldi, also Head of International Projects. "Initially two workshops will be held, lasting one week each, addressed to trainers: the first will take place in Athens in March 2019, the second in October 2019 in Finland, in the city of Tampere. Each of the nine partners involved will send three trainers, who will learn the different ways to facilitate the social recovery of those inside the prisons. In our case, for example, re-integration and social redemption take place through sports practice. Following the workshops, the trainers will return to their own territory to instruct in turn 50 young people - for a total of 450 people - who will go to volunteer activities inside the detention facilities ". RE [ENTER] therefore, in addition to providing means of emancipation for prisoners, also intends to offer a concrete job opportunity, giving specific training to the 450 previously indicated subjects. Roberto Rinaldi also stated that he was very satisfied with this first meeting, especially for the important exchange of information on how to deal with the same issue in a very different way. "Both SPIRITS and RE [ENTER] are bringing a great deal of experience to our Committee, which will certainly acquire even more skills in these two years in order to constantly improve".
