MEMTRAIN was officially concluded, a European project aimed at studying the correlation between physical activity and mnemonic enhancement in subjects over 55, who for two years involved our Committee. The last meeting, held in Prague on 23-24 and 25 September, took place in the form of an event open to the public. "Inside the courtyard of one of the Prague schools, the association Právě teď! o.p.s, leader of the project, has made available to each partner a gazebo, near which to do promotion and demonstration of their business "explained the Director of the Committee Roberto Rinaldi, flew to the capital of the Czech Republic together with the instructor Lisa Crosetti. In addition to these, there was also a group of five over 55 subjects, who over the past two years participated assiduously in the Adapted Physical Activity classes - AFA - which were purposely more aerobic to better adapt to the objectives that MEMTRAIN set itself. "On this occasion we did our exercises of AFA, the association of the Czech Republic Cestou zdraví z.s. has made an interesting demonstration of Nordic Walking, Athletics Ireland has shown the exercises of preparation for the discipline of athletics that are more suited to the age taken into consideration, the Polish association Gdynia Sport Center was the protagonist of an intense demonstration of Zumba Senior, while the Slovenians of the Ljudska Univerza Rogaška Slatina have practiced a series of exercises useful in coordination above all through the use of hands, which were also used during our lessons "Rinaldi continued, emphasizing the good participation by those over 55, who have tried the various activities with considerable enthusiasm. The meeting-event was also an opportunity to present the project's final manual to the partners: a 90-page work in which all the exercises for each discipline are included, explained through the use of simple language and the aid of photographs, which will support future instructors.
