MEMTRAIN - Meeting in Dublin

From 21 to 24 April 2018 the Director of the Uisp Cirie Settimo Chivasso Committee Roberto Rinaldi and the Project Manager Francesca Di Feo went to Dublin for the Intermediate Meeting of the MemTrain international project.

MemTrain is a project born from several studies that have brought to light the need to find a way to improve the aging of people aged 55 and over, which is often characterized by cognitive impairment and hospitalization, which can consequently lead to sedentary lifestyle.The project is structure in a 10 weeks course for, where a trained instructor organizes specialized activities for people aged 55 to 70 and others for those over 70. For the partners, on the other hand, several meetings are organized in which various topics related to the project are discussed. In fact, in the meeting in Dublin, the results obtained so far have been highlighted and we thought about how to improve the lessons to make them more and more varied and effective. In addition, the final meeting has been scheduled, which will take place in Prague in the second half of 2018, which will also be attended by 5 elders who attended the courses.
